Tenggerese Language Bromo Mountain (Culture in Indonesia)

Posted by Indonesia and Culture

The regional language used is the Java language that still smells of Ancient Java. They use two levels of language: ngoko, ordinary language towards each other, and krama for communication to older people or respected parents. In Tengger society there is no caste difference, in the sense that they are of the same rank.
Example: Me (male) = Reang, I (female) = Isun, you (for age) = Sira, you (for the elderly) = Rika, Father / Father = Sir, Mother = Mak, Grandfather = Wek, Big Sister = Kang, Mbak = Yuk
The Origin of Man by Tengger Philosophy
The doctrine of the origin of man is as there are in the bhumi purwa mantra. While human tasks in this world can be learned through the way Tengger society gives meaning to the Javanese script that they develop. The intended meaning is as follows:
- h.n.c.r.k: hingsun nitahake cipta, rasa karsa,
- d, t, s, w, l: dumadi tetesing sarira wadi laksana,
- p, dh, j, y, ny: panca dhawuh jekad yekti nyawiji,
- m, g, b, th, ng: marmane gantia binuka thukul ngakasa.
When interpreted literally more or less as follows: God Almighty creates light, taste and will in man, (man) is made through the unseen body to carry out the five commandments in the world with the sincerity of the heart, to open up each other to grow (develop) full of freedom (ngakasa into the outer space).
In essence man is a creation of God, born of nothing into existence or from the unseen world, to carry out the task of this world to carry out His five commandments by unifying himself in his duty, so that in this world grows openness and progress toward perfection.
There is still another interpretation of the Javanese script associated with the story of Aji Saka, namely that there are messengers, both of whom are fighting over each other (scrambling for truth). Both are equally strong (equally successful), which eventually both suffered the same fate, which became a corpse. It implies that good-bad, hard-hard, healthy-sick, is present in humans and is inevitable. The perfection of human life if it can balance the two things.
